Hi Sumi,

My guess is that Joomla LMS doesn’t support reporting of Question Answers. So we are sending the data to them, but they just ignore it. Do you have any other SCORM content that Joomla reports answers for?

Without an LMS your options are a tad limited for tracking. You basically have four options if you want tracking:
1. Use an LMS
2. Use Articulate Online
3. Use the EMail Results feature in Quizmaker (which can be problematic)
4. Go with a custom solution

Hi Dave,
I got problem with tracking the quiz answers. I have installed joomla LMS and in that its supports everything except its not tracking the quiz answers, because we have short answer not like one word answers thats the reason why we want to track the answers also not only the result.

The other question i got in my mind. We want to design another website in that we are NOTgoing to install LMS but we will upload all the zip file into the website. I want to know whether i will be able to track the answers in articulate quiz and track the presenter like how many slides has been viewed from the student.

Can you please help me with this

Hi, we are developing a Learning tool. It is developed in asp.net. It is mainly a forum, quizzes, and it has links that when the user clicks on them, articulate presenters are launched. We need to track when the user has ended reading the articulates, and how much time he spent on reading a lesson (which is basically an articulate presenter). (This articulate presenter is just a lesson, it doesn’t have any quiz).Since Articulate presenter is SCORM compliant, we can track the user time just by implementing SCORM javascript API on the articulates? or is it more than that?Should our web site that launches the artciluates should be SCORM compliant too?

I am NOT interesting in tracking the score of quizmaker on Moodle. I just want to visualize Quizmaker on my course. Is there a way of doing without using the scorm. Like using “web” publishing option? thanks”

Hey Chris,

You could use AICC for tracking instead of SCORM…AICC would allow you to host the content on a different server, yet still support tracking.

Here is essentially what you would do:
1. Go to Publish in Quizmaker
2. Go to LMS tab
3. Select AICC
4. Click reporting and tracking
5. Change the URL field to point to where the content will eventually reside
6. Publish
7. Zip up the 4 Course.* files that get published
8. Upload them to Moodle (much like you do with SCORM, the difference is you will be uploading about 100 kb of data instead of 100 MB)
9. Upload the rest of the content to your other server

We use an i-tunes server to host all of our articulate modules, then use the web link feature in moodle. Some of our articulate presentations are quite large (100MB) and will not upload due to admin restrictions on the site. Do you know of an alternate method that could work besides uploading? Perhaps a linking method that incorporates the index_lms.html. Thanks Dave

Hi Lawren,

Unfortunately how Quizmaker was built was that each slide is technically considered a question slide, and in the case of a blank slide it is technically considered a non-reporting question slide, so unfortunately there isn’t any way around this in Quizmaker alone.

You could put a quiz in Presenter though, and have any intro material on Presenter slides…

Hi Dave,

Thanks for this. One thing I’m seeing in my cmi.interaction data (any SCORM version) is that the ID for the 1st question is “Question2_1″ when it should be “Question1_1.” There is 1 non question slide preceding the questions themselves in the assessment, to provide the learner with the “rules” for the assessment.

Do you know how to get this to work without having to use another tool to create the intro slide outside of Articulate? The incorrect question counter is throwing off my reporting!
